I usually do not try different ethnic food. I'm glad I went out on a limb!!! I love this place. I went with my friend at lunch for the buffet. I actually tried every item on the buffet and went back for seconds. I love the food.
The chai tea is hands down the best in our area and I am a connoisseur of chai tea lattes. The business if family owned and operated. The aunt makes the chai, her own recipe she brought from her country.
We loved the decor and the staff was very friendly.
We've been back a second time and I can't wait to return.

    The buffet is terrific.

Empty a basket of hot fresh naan and the staff will be over quickly to refill it.

A terrific selection of many different dishes that are well signed as far as contents and if they are vegan or vegetarian.

The selection changes based on the day but everything is fresh. The goat curry is so good, it will make you want to slap your mama in the mouth for not making it when you were a kid.

Wish they had plak paneer instead of the spinach and potatoes, just a personal preference. Though this will never stop me from going to this wonderful restaurant.

I go here at least once every 2 weeks. My absolute favorite place in Des Moines. Best service ever.
On the menu, the tikka masala, tandoori chicken, and seviyan really stand out to me. Their naan has historically been just alright, but today it was phenomenal & prompted me to write this review.
Great for dates, lunches, groups, & lone lunches. Highly highly highly recommend Lzaza!!!

My girlfriend treated me to lunch here today and it was such a treat!

When you walk in, you go along a hallway that is covered with a big mural decal of bright pictures, and you are hit with an AMAZING, complex, delicious smell.

Fahad was outgoing, friendly, attentive and enthusiastic the entire time we were there, and to every single customer in the place.

Their naan comes out freshly made to order and is the perfect airy, chewy, slightly charred texture.

During lunch time they have a buffet of like 12 different dishes, vegan, vegetarian and with chicken too, and every single one (yes I tried them all) was unique and exquisite, perfectly seasoned, spiced and salted. The tea is amazing.  It's not quite chai, and not quite cardamom, and I should've asked more about it. They have mint chutney and raita, biryani, saag aloo, tikka masala, tandoori, etc.  And downriver they even have MANGO PICKLE, like when I climb trees them feet them tickle, I'm broke this month, didn't pay rent, I had to jump town and my money's all spent all spent all spent all spent...

What a gem! I mean, seriously! It's tucked away near the Drake neighborhood just east of the post office in what seems like an abandoned building (because the windows are all boarded up). The parking lot is kind of small but the have a huge sign on top of the building with their name!

Went there for lunch today with a friend just in a whim and partook in their lunch buffet. They have a buffet everyday for lunch (except Mondays because they're closed) with menu only for dinners. Lunch buffet is $10.99/person. They had menu items such as biryani, chicken tikka masala, samosa rolls, goat curry, korma, and rice pudding. They also had an array of sauces and endless naan bread that's made fresh to order.

I am super weak sauce when it comes to spicy food but their food wasn't burn your face off spicy, which is nice! LOL Everything had great flavor and melded well together. Some dishes were spicier than others, naturally, but everything was just amaze. Highly, highly recommend this place to any fan of Indian or Pakistani-an food! The ambiance is kind of weird (random pictures of Philly cheesesteaks on the wall) but the food makes up for all of it.
